We had a grand ol’ time.

In other news, the giant, dead maple tree in our backyard came down last week. The City of Denver sent us a letter telling us to take it down or get fined monthly. We did some shopping and got a bid of under $500 for a couple of ex-cons to come over and chop it. They took out our fence, which was falling down anyways, then said they would put it back up for another $175. Thanks, jerks! Randy and I got our hands dirty the next day and reinstalled the fence ourselves. Now its stronger and taller than ever before!

Work is going good. I got in trouble last week when our Delay Server failed and three channels went to black for 26 seconds. I recovered well enough on two of those channels, but the third channel has both an SD and HD output, and I only recovered the SD channel. So the HD version went beaming out our doors, into space, and back into your cablebox without audio for over 4 minutes! Dammit! A Supervisor rushed in, assessed the situation, and quickly hot-punched the correct recovery path to fix the problem. I wasn’t written up but got a firm talking to by more than one of my bosses. I’m thinking of applying for a Live Sports position come Spring because that would be fun and people only get promoted if they have Live Sports experience, and, I need to wear more headsets at work.

The Colorado Avalanche are kicking ass this season! Currently, we are 16-5-0, which is pretty damn good. We had a great comeback win last night against the Phoenix Coyotes thanks to Cody McLeod and and Ryan O’Reilly.

We’ve been to four games already this year. I am 2-2, witnessing a win Opening Night, and another in Toronto, but have also seen us lose at home to the stupid Redwings and the Predators. My brother says I’m banned from all home games until further notice but I’ll be back the day before Thanksgiving.

Jerry Hsu quit enjoi and is now skating for Chocolate. Tony has shut down The Denver Shop to focus on the relaunched Aurora Brothers shop. Back to its roots. I should start skating again.

sweet shoes, Ty!
